Extreme Skinny Jeans | Typographical Project

This project that began in late November was based around the idea of designing a typographical poster that would help express somewhat of a self-proclaimed love and admiration for extreme skinny jeans, by the way of using a visual style that would combine both minimalism and simplicity together.

As you will see, the final outcome consists of multi-coloured jeans (primarily the leg part and a fraction of the creases of the side pockets) lined next to each other, with different skin shades shown below in order to create a more diverse and overall aesthetically pleasing look.

Also included is the actual text content that has been displayed within the form of a header and sub-header, the header itself being supported by the inclusion of a heart illustration in order to help visually rectify the respective message, while the sub-header has been reduced in transparency as to assert accurate hierarchy, as well as taking the point size and font style into full equation.

The display mockup for the final outcome places the design itself into a black frame that is then rested up against a wall that shares a similar colour to the dominant colour of the finished poster. This helps ensure that both elements blend together in a calm yet formal manner that isn’t too distracting, or make one seem out of place from the other.
